BRICK FOR BOILER SETTINGS Figs. 113 and 114 show the ordinary forms of boiler settings. That shown in Fig. 113 is for the ordinary form of tubular boiler with what is known as a full front, or a cast-iron front which extends the full width of the boiler and from the floor to the top of the brick setting.

Table XVII gives an estimate of the materials required for various sizes of tubular boilers with full fronts.

Fig. 114 shows an ordinary form of horizontal tubular boiler with firebox in front end. This form of boiler is used quite extensively for heating purposes.
