DRABA DENSIFOLIA Nutt.; Torr. & Gray, Fl. N. Am. I: 104. 1838.
D. glacialis var. pectinata Wats. Proc. Am. Acad. 23: 26o.
It is very doubtful if this is a variety of D. glacialis. The more tufted habit, the more flattened, more hairy and few- (4-6) seeded pod may well give it the rank of a species. Under all circum stances the name densifolia is much older than Watson's name and should not be suppressed. Mr. Flodman's specimens from the
Little Elk Mountains, Aug. 10, 1895, no. 499, are nearly identi cal with Nuttall's type in the Torrey herbarium. It was also col lected by the author at Silver Bow in 1895, no. 2669.
