After describing this Sisynnchium Mr. Bicknell gives a general distribution for the species, but notes the " exact distribution not well made out." I can now record two definite southern stations: the first, Stone Mountain, Georgia, where I collected the plant at an altitude of about 550 meters, in 1895, and Auburn, Alabama, where Prof. Underwood gathered specimens in 1896.
