VIBURNUM RUFOTOMENTOSUM.
Vibumunt prunifohum var. ftmigineum T. & G. Fl. N. A. 2: 15. ibunium Small, Mem. Torr. Club, 4: 123. pi. 78. 1894. Not Raf. 1838.
Viburnum pm/ilea/him is said to grow as far south as Missis sippi and Florida, but during all my travels in the Southeast I have not met with the species. Viburnum rirfotomentosunz seems to re
place our common plum-leaved Viburnitne in the Southern States. The most southern station at which I have collected V. prnmfolium is Salisbury, North Carolina.
