GILA CLIFF DWELLINGS, a national monument (reser vation) situated about 35 m. north of Silver City in the south eastern part of Catron county, New Mexico, U.S.A. The reser vation (16o ac. in area) was established on Nov. 16, 1907 to pro tect a group of four cliff dwellings still in good preservation in the canyon of the West fork of the Gila river.
