GOTO RETTO, a group of islands belonging to Japan, lying west of Kyushu, in 33° N., 129° E. The southern of the two principal islands, Fukae-shima, measures 17 m. by 134-,; the north ern, Nakaori-shima, measures 23 m. by 7 1. The islands are distant some 5o m. from Nagasaki and are highly cultivated.
