GUINOBATAN, a municipality (with administration centre and 14 barrios or districts) of the province of Albay, Luzon, Philippine Islands, on the Inaya river, 9 m. W. by N. of Albay. Pop. (1918) 25,113. Abaci is grown in large quantities in the surrounding regions. In 1918, it had 5 manufacturing establish ments and 4 rice mills with outputs valued at 30, 20o and 1 17,800 pesos respectively. It has good deposits of lime. Of the 21 schools, II were public. The language spoken is Bikol.
