HASPE, a town in the Prussian province of Westphalia, on the Ddsseldorf-Dortmund railway io m. N.E. of Barmen, was raised to the rank of a town in 1873. Pop. (1925) 25,636. Its industries include iron foundries, rolling mills, puddling furnaces and manu factures of iron, steel, brass, aluminium wares and of machines.
