HASTINGS, a city of Minnesota, U.S.A., tom. S.E. of Saint Paul, on the Mississippi river; the county seat of Dakota county. It is served by the Burlington and the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific railways. The population was 4,571 in 192o, and 5,086 in 193o by the Federal census.
