HEANOR, an urban district of Derbyshire, England, Io m. N.W. of Nottingham by the L.N.E.R. Pop. (1931) 22,386. Hosiery works and collieries employ many of the inhabitants. The ruins of Codnor castle stand near some large ironworks.
