HEBBURN, urban district, Durham, England, on the right bank of the Tyne, 4 m. below Newcastle, on the L.N.E. railway. Pop. (1931) 24,125. It has extensive shipbuilding and engineering works, rope and sail factories, chemical, colour and cement works, and collieries.
