HILLSBORO, a city of Texas, U.S.A., S5m. S. by E. of Fort Worth; the county seat of Hill county. It is on Federal highway 81, and is served by the Missouri-Kansas-Texas, the St. Louis Southwestern and the Trinity and Brazos Valley railways. The population was 6,952 in 192o (15% negroes), and was 7,823 in 1930 by the Federal census. Grain, cotton and live stock are raised in this region.
