HOBOKEN, town of Belgium on the right hank of the Scheldt about 4 m. above Antwerp. It is an important industrial centre and has the ship-building yard of the Cockerill firm of Seraing.
Many wealthy Antwerp merchants have villas here, and it is the headquarters of several of the leading rowing clubs on the Scheldt. Pop. (1930) 32,70o.
