HOLBEACH, a market town in Holland, Lincolnshire, Eng land, on the M. and G.N. railway, 231 m. N.E. of Peterborough. Pop. of urban district (1931) 6,111. All Saints' Church, with a lofty spire, is late Decorated. The grammar school, founded in 1669, occupies a building erected in 1877. Roman and Saxon remains have been found, and the market dates from the 13th century. There is some work in textiles, while brewing and malt ing are carried on.
