HUNSTANTON, seaside resort of Norfolk, England, on the east shore of the Wash, 112 m. N. by E. from London by rail. Pop. (1931) 3,131. The new watering-place is about 1 m. from the old village. The parish church of St. Mary is a Decorated building; Hunstanton Hall is a Tudor building of brick. At Bran caster, 6 m. E., there is a Roman fort which formed part of the defences of the Litus Saxonicum (4th cent. A.D.).
