WESTON-SUPER-MARE, a seaside resort of Somerset shire, England, on the Bristol channel, 1371 m. W. by S. of Lon don by the G.W.R. It is served also by the Weston, Clevedon & Portishead Railway. Pop. of urban district (1931) 28,555. It is sheltered from the north and east by Worlebury hill. Intermittent springs exist, which are affected by the ebb and flow of the tide.
