BURLEY, a city in southern Idaho, United States, on the Snake river and the Oregon Short Line of the Union Pacific rail way system, Tom. S.W. of Pocatello; the county seat of Cassia county. The population in 1930 was 3,826. It is the shipping point for the Minidoka irrigation project (12o,000ac.), and has large potato warehouses. Its industries include beet-sugar, broom, and cheese factories, alfalfa and flour mills, and a creamery. Bur ley was settled in 1907 and incorporated in 1918.
