COLLATIA, an ancient town of Latium, lam. E. by N. of Rome, by the Via Collatina. Later it became a mere village. It is the legendary scene of the rape of Lucretia. The site is on the hill now occupied by the large mediaeval fortified farmhouse of Lunghezza, immediately south of the Anio.
