CONCORDIA, a city of northern Kansas, U.S.A., on the Republican river, 155m. W. of Atchison; the county seat of Cloud county. It is on the Meridian national highway, and is served by the Burlington, the Missouri Pacific, the Santa Fe and the Union Pacific railways. The population in 193o Federal census was 5,792. It has a large wholesale trad2, and manufactures flour, brick, brooms, butter and cheese, and ice. Coal and building stone are found near by. Concordia was settled about 187i, and was incorporated in 1872.
