DAYTON, a city of Campbell county, Kentucky, U.S.A., on the Ohio river, opposite Cincinnati; served by the Chesapeake and Ohio railway. The population was 7,646 in I920 (95% native white) and was 9,o7i in 193o by the Federal census. There is a watch-case factory, but the city is primarily a residential suburb of Cincinnati. It was settled and incorporated in 1849.
