DENTAL RUBBER, a form of vulcanite, coloured pink to simulate the human gums, and used extensively, strengthened with metal, to form the setting of artificial teeth, for which it is ad mirably suited. It is manufactured from over-vulcanized rubber, i.e., pure rubber which is rolled with about 4o% of sulphur, and in which a considerable amount of vermilion or other suitable pigment is incorporated. It takes a high polish, is tasteless and odourless, and is comfortable in wear.
