ENGHIEN, a town in the province of Hainaut, Belgium, lying south of Grammont. Pop. in 1930, 7,302. It is the centre of considerable lace, linen and cotton industries. The title "duc d'Enghien" was for long borne by the eldest son of the princely house of Conde (q.v.).
