Tim – this is a “theme style” – it’s an add-on to the core Subtle install and not a standalone theme. Theme styles go in the /styles/ folder in your Subtle install.

this is a nice addition to my growing library of subtle themes!

Which font do you use in header?

In the version here I use a CorelDRAW! face called Swis721. In the generic version the typeface is Arial – keeping it simple there.

Any idea why trackbacks do not work on this theme?

I ended up hacking together a clone of your header a couple of months ago (quite badly I might add — you can see gradient lines that don’t want to match up)…I guess I should have waited it out for this version. Thanks again for the great design, I love this theme. Cheers.

for some reason my mini icons for digg and stuff don’t show up with this style. It works in Apart and default but not in Glued.

Any ideas why it wouldn’t work?

Hey Spanky – this version is just designed to be a little more stripped down, and thus it lacks the icons.

Hey all! I am having a little trouble with the Subtle default theme. For some reason, past a certain point, the content gets cut off and it doesn’t scroll downward. Has this been a problem before or does anyone know what to do about it?

What do I have to do to change the height of the header? I want it to be 200px instead of 145px. I changed it in the css/layout.css, what elese do I have to do?

Glued is a theme style, not a theme. You need Subtle installed and then you need to install Glued along with the other theme styles.

How is the fix for 2.2 widgets coming on?

Nice theme. I just ported my opensource project to wordpress and found your theme. its fits very well for my needs.

Some suggestions to you:
1. customizable footer: well it would be possible for me to do that by hand. But the ability to customize over theme options would be great. Like: set copyright phrase. Set more logo’s with link (for my need sourceforge donate and page logo)

2. At the home site right next to the Archive and Meta some customizable colums (like you have done with “Side Thoughts” and “Customize It”)

Ow, and in my opinion, in the dark row of the footer there would be more oportunities to use than a second page title. something like meta links: impressum, project page sf.net, sitemap.

maybe possible by specifying a category named footer which will be only diplayed there.

I try your theme on my new site installed with WP 2.2.2. But I found the sidebar widget is not functioning. Nothing change even I drop my modules at the sidebar widgets.

Really the best theme I have ever seen with so many features.Is their any news about the next release

How to install the style? I’ve install glue theme to my wordpress, but I don’t know how to install “style”.

Any updates converting this theme to be fully Wordpress 2.3 compatible?

I am having problems with the theme looking right on WP 2.2.2. The tabs do not work and the footer is weird looking. Can anyone email me some ideas.

Any refresh scheduled for full WP 2.3 compatibility? I had upgraded to WP 2.3 and Subtle 0.319 doesn’t want to cooperate.

I was loooking for the right skin for a new website about pictures of Florence (my sweet home). This one is really neat and elegant!

I am having a problem, however, when viewing my install in Firefox, and using the default theme style. The whole central content area (the white part) is shifted over to the left by a pixel.\

I’m wondering if anyone else is having this problem, and if there’s a fix.

I have some clarification for my last comment. This problem only occurs when using Firefox 3, and not previous versions. This certainly adds a twist to the whole thing.

@Alex – I haven’t tried it with FF3… just never bothered to upgrade! The problem is probably related to how FF does it’s math to find the center of the page. I’ve made a note of the bug and will see if I can’t find out what’s up. Might be a while before I post anything, but I am tracking. Thanks!

Dear, Christopher Frazier…

I’ve been using the “Glued Ideas Subtle” template by Christopher Frazier for the last few months, and today the background image that was uploaded on : [http://themes.wordpress.net/testrun/wp-content/themes/747/styles/default/header.jpg] went missing.

when i checked http://gluedideas-xml.blogspot.com/ the blog also has the same problem. The image didn’t appear on the header.

Could somebody help me to solve this problem?

@sebeningembun – Wow… I didn’t even know there was a Blogspot port of Subtle. Cool. Unfortunately, I couldn’t really say much about it since I didn’t build it. You’ll need to talk to Blogcrowds about it.

Subtle, yet powerful theme. I’ve had a staple theme I use in most of my new sites, but this one is definitely upgraded to the rotation!

Definitely one of the top 5 classiest wordpress themes I’ve used. I’m still using this one in many of my other projects, made a few tweaks of my own – but still loving it.

What’s happened to the original Glued Ideas theme for Wordpress. I was working with that but now there doesn’t seem to be any reference to it? Wheres the support for Glued Ideas?

@Hugh – The theme is called Subtle but was released from our company, Glued Ideas. So if you go to the Downloads page (or the front page) you can find download links for the Subtle theme.
