What Ever Happened to DPBlogs?

If you’ve been watching the Glued Ideas site for a while, you’ll remember that as part of our content recommendation project we started a blog network called “Digital Photography Blogs.”  We brought together some fantastic amateur and professional photographers and asked them to just write - write what they know and what they’re interested in.  They did this for two years, creating some fantastic content over that time.

The problem with the site was that each blogger had their own subdomain and none of the content from other authors was accessible from any given blog.  Good thinking on our part, there.  Anyhow, a few months ago we were trying to decide what to do with the site and after some discussion John and I decided to try relaunching with a new look and feel with the same authors… all in the same blog.  The net result is pretty cool.

If you’re interested at all in photography, I’d suggest taking a second and visiting our site, Digital Photography Blogs, and saying hi.  Our writers would love your feedback and encouragement, and you just might learn something.  See you there!

DPBlogs - What can I say? I was searching the net for a network blog design because a friend of mine is interested in getting into blogging and wanted to start a network blog with multiple authors but have all posts accessed at one location. The design of the site is great. I love it. The functionality and display of featured and recent posts gives a perfect summary for the reader to get right to what they are looking for.

It really looks like you have some multi-talented authors as well (photographers/writers). Kudos on the redesign.

I tried to install it on 2.6.1, but it didn’t work. It does not show up in the themes page.

In my previous comment I meant the theme for photo-blogging. You have it on your download page.

Took a good look around Digital Photography Blogs pages just out of idle interest…

Gotta say, you guys did a fantastic job, and I stayed longer than I’d intended and even left a message on one page where I found some outstanding tips and photography.

Congrats!

Great looking photography site. I have a few close friends that are very much into photography and I will send them a link to that site.
