SPANISH VARLETIES EARLY MATURING FOR COLDER LOCALITIES.

Var. (French, Ampoul above an inch in diameter, spherical, ahin iug black.

Var. Regalia.—Sevillano: (French, Pruneau de Catig nac.)—Fruit about an inch in diameter, ovate-spherical, blunt, bluish-black.

Var. Redondillo.—Fruit ovate-spherical, nearly an inch long; pericarp outside bluiah-black, ivaide whitish. A rich yielder.

Var. Ovalia.—Lechin; Picholin ; Acquillo; (French, Saurine.)—Fruit broad-oval, two-thirda of an inch long. A copious yielder.

Var. Argentata.—Nevadillo blanco; Doucel; Gorza lena; Moradillo; Ojiblaneo; Olivo Frait• broad ovate, an inch long, very blunt, not oblique. Quality and quantity of oil excellent.

Var. Varal blanco.—(French, Blanguette.)—Fruit ovate, globular. three-fourths of an inch long, neither pointed nor oblique, outside blackish-red.

Var. Empeltre.—Frnit ovate, an inch long, equable. Rich iu oil of excellent quality, also one of 'the beat for pickles. Outside violet, inside white.

var. Racintal.—(French, Bouteillan, Boutiniene, Ribi en, Rapogette.)—Fruit violet-colored, globose-ovate, about an inch long, nell her pointed nor oblique. Bears

regularly also on less fertile soil, and is one of the earliest to ripeu.

Var. Varal negro; Alameno; (French, Cayon, Haim) —Fruit violet -black, apotted, globoae-ovate, nearly an inch long. somewhat pointed. Bears richly.

Var. Colchonuelo.—Fruit apherie, outside red, inaide white, one inch in diametcr, slightly pointed. Producee a large quantity of good oil.

var. ogillo de Li.ebre.—Fruit nearly spheric, outside violet-black, about one inch Jong, somewhat oblique Var. Camasquena.—(French, Redouan de Cotignal.)— Fruit black-red, almost spherical, slightly oblique, about an inch long Valuable both for oil and preaerves.

Var. Hispalemi8.—Gordal; Ocal; Olivo real..—Fruit black-gray, oblique, spherical., measuring fully an inch. Rather a large and quick growing tree. Fruit uaed in the g: een state tut' preserves, not used for table-oil.

Var. Verdefo.-Verdial. (French, Vertical; Verdan.) Fruit blaclx-violet. oblique spheric, pointed. about one loch Ion!. Fnrnishes good oil, and resists best of all the cold.
