MESHULLADI (lieb. C1P.Pi mesh-ool-lawm' , allied).

1. A chief Gadite, resident at Jerusalem in the reign of Jotham Chron. v:r3), B. C. 781.

2. Grandfather of Shaphan, the scribe (2 Kings xxii :3), B. C. about 623.

3. A priest. son of Zadok, and father of Hilkiah (i Chron. ix :11 ; Neh. xi :11). The same as ( I Chr011. ; Ezra vii :2).

4. A Kohathite Levite who helped to oversee the repairing of the Temple in the time of Josiah (2 Chron. xxxiv :12), B. C. 623.

5. A Benjamite, descendant of Elpaal, living at Jerusalem (1 Chron. viii :17), B. C. 589.

6. Father of Sallu Citron. ix :7), and son of Joed (Nch.

7. Eldest son of Zerubbabel (i Chron. :19), B.

C. about 536.

8. A chief priest, of the house of Ezra, in the days of Joiakim xii :13), B. C. after 536.

9. Another chief priest. son of Ginnethon, con temporary with Joiakim (Neh. xii :16), B. C. aftcr 536.

10. A chief Israelite, sent with others by Ezra to accompany his party of Levites to Jerusalem (Ezra viii: 16). He seems also to have assisted in finding out those who had married foreign wives (Ezra x :15), and possibly identical with the Temple warden (Nch. xii:25), B. C. about 440. The last mentioned Meshullam is called eshelemiah Chron. xxvi :1), Shelemiah (1 Chron. xxvi :14), and Shallum vii :45) •

11. One of the "sons" of Bani who divorced his foreign wife after the exile (Ezra x :29), B. C. -459.

12. A priest, son of Meshillemith, descendant of Immer Chron. ix :12), B. C. after 44o.

13. Son of Berechiah. Ile helped to repair two sections of the wall of Jerusalem (Nell. iii :4, 3o). Ilis daughter married Johanan, the son of Tobiah (Nell. vi :18), 13. C. 446.

14. Son of Besodeiah, who helped Jehoiada re pair the old gate of the wall of Jerusalem (Neh. iii :61, B. C. 446.

15. One of the princes of Judah who joined in the procession around the walls of Jerusalem at their completion (Neh. xii :33), B. C. 446.

16. A chief Benjamitc, dwelling in Jerusalem after the exile (i Citron ix :8), B. C. about 44o.

17. One of the chief Israelites who stood on Ezra's left when he expounded the law to the people (Neh. viii :4), B. C. about 41o. Perhaps identical with to, 13, 14, 15, or 16. Probably identical with the one who sealed the covenant (Neh. x :2o).

18. A priest, who sealed the covenant with Nehemiah (Neh. x :7), B. C. about 41o. Perhaps identical with 7 or 8.
