JEKUTIIIEL B. JEHUDAH COHEN, also called Salman Nakdon, e., the Punctuator, and by con traction lehavi (4Z"n+ =MTV tm troti 9N+111p,), a distinguished Massorite and editor of the Hebrew Scriptures, who flourished in Prague 'about A.D. 1(250-'300. He edited a very correct text of the Pentateuch and the Book of Esther, with the vowels and accents, and used, in preparing it, six old Spanish codices, which he denominates T"N, tYCZ, D"nN, and which IIeidenheim ex plains to mean pip, nItyri, tnr-vion, ;pt, op+ri, the prefix N. denoting Spain (comp. tcripr; IT on Num. xxxiv. 28). Jekuthiel em bodied the results of his critical labours in a work which he called N-np 1,3), the eye of the reader and in which he quotes Ben- Naphtali, Ben-A'sher, Chajug, Ibn Ganach, Ibn Ezra, Parchon, Tam, Samuel, etc., as well as the book Nlipti nrwt, by an anonymous writer. Connected with this is a grammatical treatise, denominated mpri or TINn the laws of the vowel points, which is divided into sections (1:1"13.7V), treating upon the quiescent letters (rna,nri -1.m), the vowels MT) "lljnil), the Dagesh (nwrin the accents (-WV marl n.r.z), the heavy ana' light Illetheg (vv.,
