Mamoodi, or Mamoudi, a money of account and silver coin of Persia. The mamoodi of Gombroon contains I silver and I copper, and is worth nearly 3d. The mamoodi of Bassora is worth about 55d.

Manfredi, is now a Spanish money of account, but was formerly a coin. It is now reckoned as the 34th part of a real.

Murk, au old English gold coin, worth 13.. 4d.

Mark, a silver coin in Denmark, Norway. and Hamburg. The Danish mark is equal to 16 skillings, and is worth 45d. The mark of Hamburg is equal to IG schillings, and is worth about Is. 3d.

Old.; the moiler of the same, 1787, 1/. 13s. 45d.; the sicca gold mohur of Bengal, of 1789, 1/. 13.. 7d.; the old Bombay mohur, 11. 10s. Id. ; Surat mohur of the Latest coinage, II. 98. 25d.; Tippoo's gold rupee, IL 12s. lld. ; mohur of the Dutch East India Company, 1783, 1/. 12s. 15d.; ditto, 1797, I/. 10.. 105d. Some of these had halves and quarters in proportion. The present mohur is worth 1/. 9s. 3W.
