ACCORD, in law, an agreement between two parties, one of whom has a right of action against the other, to give and ac cept in substitution for such right any good legal consideration. Such an agreement when executed discharges the cause of action and is called Accord and Satisfaction. This specific form of plead ing is obsolete in England.
