ACTA SANCTORUM, a collection of the lives of the saints, arranged day by day according to the calendar, and compiled by the Bollandists, Belgian Jesuits. The work, first conceived at the commencement of the 17th century, has been carried on ever since, save during the period of the suppression of the Society of Belgium. In 1925 the fourth volume for November, deal ing with the days Nov. 9 and Nov. 1o, was published. (See BOLLANDISTS.)
