Agra Canal


AGRA CANAL, primarily an irrigation project opened in 1874, but widely used for navigation. It is supplied with water from the Jumna river and beginning at Okla, 1 o m. below Delhi it passes through the districts of Delhi, Gurgaon, Muttra and Agra as well as the Bharatpur state. It finally joins the Banganga river about 20 m. below Agra.
