AGUILAS, seaport and railway terminus, south-east Spain, province of Murcia. Pop. Aguilas is built on the landward side of a small peninsula, between two bays and has a good harbour. It is the chief outlet for the Spanish trade in esparto grass, and exports also iron ore and other mineral prod ucts of the neighbourhood.
