ADAM, MELCHIOR (d. 1622), German divine and bio grapher, wrote Vitae Germanorum philosophorum (Heidelberg Frankfurt, 1615-2o). Pierre Bayle acknowledges his debt to this work, which deals principally with German scholars of the 16th century.
