HUNT, ALFRED WILLIAM (183o-1896), English painter, son of Andrew Hunt, a landscape painter, was born at Liverpool on Nov. 15, 183o. Most of his pictures are in private ownership; but his "Windsor Castle" is in the Tate gallery, "Working Late" in the Walker art gallery, Liverpool, and others at South Kensington. He died in London on May 3, 1896.
