ISHIM, a town in the Uralsk Area of the R.S.F.S.R. in o' N. and 69° 18' E., on the Ishim river, a left bank tributary of the Irtish. lovsk (Ekaterinburg) to Omsk, passes through the town. It is an agricultural centre, with fairs in December and May to which tallow, butter, skins, hides, cattle, horses, bristles, groceries and the products of local kustar (peasant) industries are sent.
