ANTENNA RESISTANCE, in radio transmission, an ef fective resistance which is numerically equal to the average power in the entire antenna circuit divided by the square of the effective current at the point of maximum current. Antenna resistance in cludes radiation resistance, ground resistance, radio-frequency resistance of conductors in antenna circuit, equivalent resistance due to corona, eddy currents, insulator leakage, dielectric loss and so on.
