ANTONINI ITINERARIUM, a valuable register, still ex tant, of the stations and distances along the various roads of the Roman empire. The original edition probably dated from the be ginning of the 3rd century while the extant portion is assigned to the time of Diocletian. If it is to be ascribed to the initiative of one of the emperors, Antoninus Caracalla would be the most likely name. Editions were published by Wesseling in Parthey and Pindar in 1848.
