APPURTENANCES, a legal term for what belongs to and goes with something else, the accessories or things usually con joined with the substantive matter in question. By s. 6 of the Conveyancing and Law of Property Act, 1881 (now s. 62 of the Law of Property Act, 192 5) a conveyance of land includes all visible and permanent things, easements, rights and advantages reputed to appertain to the land or at the time reputed to be appurtenant thereto or to be part or parcel thereof.
