ARSOT, a forest near Belfort, eastern France. Area, about 1,500 acres. It is almost encircled by a small stream, the Eloie, and is about I,400ft. above the sea. It is continued east by the forest of Denney. The lakes and woodlands, associated with cold tertiary clays, are typical of the Trou de Belfort.
