ASCOT, village of Berkshire, England, in the south-east of the county, famous for its race-meetings. The station on the Southern Railway, 2g m. from London, is called Ascot and Sun ninghill. The race-course is on Ascot heath, in which parish the village of Ascot is included, and was laid out by order of Queen Anne in 171I.
