AUBURN, a city of north-eastern Indiana, U.S.A., on Federal highway 27, 23m. N. by E. of Ft. Wayne; the county seat of DeKalb county, and the centre of a great variety of manufactur ing industries. It is served by the Baltimore and Ohio, the Indiana Service Corporation, the New York Central and the Pennsylvania railways. The population in 192o was 4,65o and 5,088 in 193o. Auburn was settled about i800 and was selected as the county seat in 1836.
