BALLYMONEY, town, Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland, 53m. N.N.W. from Belfast and a junction on the Northern Counties (Midland) railway. Pop. of urban district (1926), 3,168. The trade includes brewing, distilling and tanning, besides the linen manufacture common to the whole county. Soap, candles and tobacco are also manufactured, and the town is a centre for local agricultural trade.
