ARMOUR, JONATHAN OGDEN Amer ican merchant, was born in Milwaukee (Wis.), Nov. 11, 1863, the son of Philip D. Armour (q.v.). In 1883 he joined the busi ness of Armour and Co. Made a partner the following year, he became general manager and head of the company after the death of his father. Under his guidance the business became one of the largest in the United States. He died in London, August 16, 1927.
