WAREHAM, a town of Massachusetts. The resident popu lation was 5,686 in 1930 (Federal census) and there is a summer population of 15,000. It is an important shipping point for cran berries, oysters, clams, scallops and garden truck, and has a horse shoe factory and other manufacturing plants. The town was formed in 1739 from part of Rochester and a plantation of Plymouth called the Agawam Purchase.
