BEACH WORMWOOD (Artemisia stelleriana), a perennial plant of the family Compositae, native to north-eastern Asia, now naturalized in North America on sandy sea beaches from Quebec to Delaware and also on the coasts of Sweden. It is a densely white-woolly plant, with foliage very similar to that of the dusty miller (Cineraria maritima) . It is cultivated as a border plant and enjoys some repute in household medicine.
