BEREZOVSK, a mining centre in the Sverdlovsk district of the Uralsk area, Russian S.F.S.R., 8m. N.E. of Sverdlovsk (for merly Ekaterinburg). Pop. (1926) 8,032. The gold mines have been worked here since 1747. It has koustar (peasant) leather and wooden industries.
