BLACK BEAR TRAIL, a highway connecting Quebec and Ontario, Canada, with Miami and St. Petersburg, Florida. It has a total length of i,95om. The road is paved from Quebec to North Carolina, and then again through Florida. Beginning at Montreal, it first follows the St.

Lawrence river and then passes through the Adirondacks and the Catskill mountains. Plattsburg, Ticonderoga, Albany, West Point, Bear Mountain, Gettysburg, Har per's Ferry, Staunton, Natural Bridge, Roanoke, Augusta and Jacksonville are some of the places along this route.
