BOLBEC, town, France, department of Seine-Inferieure, on the Bolbec, 19m. E.N.E. of Havre by rail, at the junction of four small valleys. Pop. (1931) 9,788. The town was enthusiastically Protestant in the 16th century and still has a number of Protes tants. It was burned almost to the ground in 1765. Bolbec is important for its cotton spinning, weaving, dyeing and printing, and for the manufacture of sugar.
