BOMBERG, DANIEL (d. 1J49), a famous Dutch Christian printer of Hebrew books. His chief activity was in Venice be tween 1516 and 1549 (the year of his death). Among other great enterprises, he published the editio princeps of the rabbinical Bible (Hebrew text with rabbinical commentaries, etc). He also produced the first complete edition of the Talmud (152o-23).
