BOUCHOTTE, JEAN BAPTISTE NOEL French revolutionary, was born at Metz on Dec. 25, 1754, and died on June 8, 1840. He was minister of war under the Con vention, and rendered some services in the organization of the republican armies, choosing his officers with insight, among them Kleber, Massena, Moreau and Bonaparte.
